My name is Kevin Ringstaff and I started PetCloud for two reasons: To help remember our beloved pets when they are no longer with us, and to help others through their bereavement when they lose their best friends.
I got started programming in the late 80’s on my Commodore 64 and never stopped. I ended up with a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Spanish from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and since I just liked school so much, I went back after a couple years to get my MBA from UTC too.
I am a certified Pet Bereavement Counselor through the Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement (APLB). If you haven’t heard of it, it is a wonderful organization founded by Dr. Wallace Sife. Like Dr. Sife, the idea for PetCloud started when I lost my first pet as an adult, Henry “Fats” Rothschild.
I currently have one gigantic furbaby, Sir William Broderick “Brody”, who is my fluffy rock. I also have two wonderful and mischievous cats: Blazefire “Blazer”, and Ponce de León “Ponce”. It’s correct to say they keep me busy.
